Bio
Dr. Berrin Demir is a lecturer in English Language and Literature at Kütahya Dumlupınar University (Türkiye), where she also serves as the Vice Manager of the International Relations Office. Dr. Demir’s research interests include comparative literature, ecocriticism, cultural ecology, eco-Gothic and eco-feminist criticism, myth and space, gender studies, and translation studies, with a particular focus on nineteenth-century and modern British and American literature. She has published and presented on topics such as ecological imagination, body politics, visual narration, and literary representations of nature and culture.
In addition to her academic work, she actively coordinates Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility and internationalization projects, contributing to institutional strategy, global partnerships, and dissemination activities. She is committed to interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and innovative pedagogy in literature and translation studies.
