Anna Rita Di Fazio is an Associate Professor in Electric Power Systems at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. She holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a doctorate in Electrical Energy Conversion. Her research focuses on analysis, management and control of electrical power systems, with particular attention to smart distribution grids, distributed generation and energy resources. She has held key academic administrative roles, including leadership of quality assurance committees, and serves on the board of a national doctoral program in photovoltaics. She is active in international scientific societies, editorial boards and conference committees. Her work includes about 60 papers published on relevant international journals and proceedings of international conference, and two book-chapters. She is a patentee concerning an innovative relay that detects unintentional islanding operation of a part of a distribution grid.
